Community guidelines

Comments here are for people who build things. Be useful, be kind, be specific.

1. Talk about the post. Questions, corrections, war stories and better snippets are welcome.
2. Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, harassment, slurs, threats or personal attacks.
3. No spam. No ads, no affiliate links, no link drops. New accounts' links wait for review.
4. Keep it legal and safe. No malware, no stolen code or credentials, no personal data about others.
5. Say who you speak for. If you work for a company you mention, say so.
6. One account per person. Do not vote or comment from extra accounts.

How moderation works. Some comments are held for review before they appear; you will see yours marked "Awaiting review". Moderators may approve, hide or delete comments and pause commenting for an account, and we tell you why. Three reports hide a comment until a moderator looks at it. To appeal a decision, write to [email protected].

Code of conduct. We want a welcoming place for people of every background and level of experience. Harassment, discrimination and intimidation are not tolerated, here or in GoByte's other spaces. Breaking these rules can get your comments removed and your commenting paused or ended.
